Privacy at a glance

Meraki Node Highlighter Internal Edition does not collect or transmit user information to the extension developer, analytics providers, advertisers, or developer-operated servers. Information needed to identify and highlight topology nodes is processed locally in the user's browser.

Information the extension handles

The extension reads limited content from supported Meraki Dashboard pages, including the current organization or network context, device identifiers, device names, models, switch stack information, and topology content. This information is used only to locate and visually highlight the device or switch stack requested by the user.

The extension does not request, read, or store Meraki API keys, passwords, authentication cookies, or other login credentials.

Sharing, selling, and tracking

The extension does not:

Storage and retention

Dashboard and device information is processed locally only as needed to provide the requested functionality. It is not retained on developer-operated servers. Any extension preferences saved locally remain in browser extension storage until removed by the user or until the extension is uninstalled.

Browser permissions

Access to supported Meraki Dashboard pages is used only to read the current page context and visually highlight or clear the requested topology node. Local storage, when used, retains extension preferences and relevant interface state. The extension does not access unrelated websites.

Security and remote code

The extension uses only JavaScript packaged with the installed extension. It does not download or execute remote code.

Limited use

Information handled by the extension is used only for its single user-facing purpose: locating Meraki devices and highlighting them on the Dashboard topology page. The extension's use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Policy changes and contact

This policy may be updated if the extension's functionality or information practices change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision. Privacy or support enquiries can be submitted using the support contact shown on the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
